Camping Heater

Camping is fun, but unless you go in the warmer months, it can be quite cold. A camping heater is probably the most necessary item after a dry tent, a warm sleeping bag and comfortable bed. Have you been camping lately? There are so many creature comfort camping items available these days you would need a pack horse to carry them all if you went for one with the lot!. The wilderness experience is meant to be about the enjoying the simple things in life, but these days there are so many bits and pieces of camping equipment available that your once leaky canvas getaway now resembles a space age home away from home. Well, that's my view anyway, but one item I don't begrudge carrying is my trusty camping heater.

Lets have a look at the list of some of things you can take with you:
- strong light water proof tent - YES a must have
- portable showers - Optional in my view
- campfire grills - Not a necessity but real handy to put over the camp fire
- camping heater for warmth - Well you may think this is a luxury, but unless you have spent a cold wet night in the forest then its a must in my view
- pillow - Absolutely - YES
- sleeping bag - YES
- camping bed - YES;
- and the list goes on and on as there is no end to the list of camping options available nowadays.

The amount you will spend will depend on how often you get away. If your family does this kind of thing on a "once a year" basis, then you can probably go light and rough it for a few nights. Conversely if you get away a lot and practically live in the woods whenever you get a chance then you will probably want to tool up and make the camp site as much like a home-away-from-home as possible. For us it's more of an annual event these days because of the difficulty in pull kids out of school, and co-ordinating that with time off work. Although less frequent now, we have gotten away quite a few times so we have acquired quite a few items for the backpack - and guess who is the pack horse?

The one item I am most glad that we bought when we head out into the forest is a new-age camping heater. These have been around for quite a while now, but like anything else they are getting better with the newer models My wife is the cold-blooded member of our household, and she shivers sometimes when I am sweating (maybe it's connected to back-pack size?). If you prefer to go camping in the fall and winter, a heater is imperative for comfort and good marital relationships. Camping in the cooler months is fantastic because there are absolutely NO bugs, and hazards like poison ivy is dormant. but the cooler climate makes a camping heater more of a necessity, so if you are in looking for some quality camping supplies, a great place to research is the internet to check out the deals and options available.
